As a governance and leadership consultant, Bradley has worked with organizations, from all sectors, throughout North America and Europe. He is drawn to not-for-profits and the public sector because of the direct impact on people and communities. Bradley has a track record for building high trust teams and boards, intentional governance structures, practices and processes, and facilitating meaningful dialogue and learning. He has had a significant impact influencing system change across the regulatory environment because of his ability to forge strong trusted relationships with board members, executive leaders and government officials, his willingness to facilitate honest discussions about why change is needed, without judgement, and his commitment to support leaders throughout the change process.
Bradley grew up on a five-generation family grain farm in Saskatchewan. He attained his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary and practiced law for over a decade. He served as the chief of staff to the Attorney General of Alberta and as a Governance Associate with WATSON Advisors – a boutique governance consulting firm based in Vancouver. Bradley obtained his executive coaching certification in 2010 from the Hudson Institute of Coaching. He attained his B.A. in Economics from McGill University and his I.B. diploma from the United World College (UWC) in Montezuma, New Mexico. Bradley continues to serve the UWC movement as the current Board Chair of The UWC National Committee of Canada responsible for recruiting, selecting, and supporting the next generation of Canadian change-makers.
At The Practice, Iva leads the firm’s operations and is spearheading the development of new product offerings, specifically designed to meet the unique needs of regulators across the country.
His commitment to the public interest includes service on various community-focused boards, statutory committee membership, regulatory and government taskforces. As a regulatory leader, Kevin deeply understands the challenges regulators address in an evolving landscape while maintaining a clear focus on a public interest mandate and regulatory innovation.
Kevin’s formal education includes a BA in Philosophy, a Master of Public Policy, Administration and Law and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from York University. He also completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto and is a registrant with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
As an educator, Charles has taught negotiation, team building, meeting facilitation and leadership in Executive Programs for Universities in Canada, the US, Mexico, Europe and Saudi Arabia. He was a senior associate of the University of Cambridge, Business and the Environment Program. He was co-founder of the Learning Strategies Group in the Faculty of Business at Simon Fraser University where he was the lead in establishing the Executive Development Program, a biotech MBA and an MBA in Applied Sustainability.
Between 2007 and 2018, Harry was chief executive of the Professional Standards Authority in the UK. From 2002-7 he was National Director for Patients and the Public at the Department of Health and before that chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society. He chaired the National Information Governance Board for the UK’s National Health Service from 2007-11 and the Social Work Regulation Oversight Group from 2011-12. In 2015 he was awarded the CBE by Her Majesty the Queen, for services to health and regulation reform. He is a Fellow through Distinction of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians. In 2017 he received the Outstanding Leadership Award from the World Health Executive Forum. He is an advisor to Thentia Global Systems Inc, a member of the Press Regulation Panel in the UK and of the Oversight Board of the Journal of Medical Regulation.
Harry Cayton has led many reviews and inquiries and advised regulators and governments in the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. The report of his inquiry into the Health Professions Act in British Columbia was published by the Minister of Heath in April 2019 and has led to dramatic modernization of BC’s health regulatory framework. He is currently advising a number of regulatory organizations in Canada and the government of the Yukon. His Governance Review of the Law Society of British Columbia was completed in December 2021 and of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Care Workers, jointly with Deanna Williams, in May 2022.
Harry has substantial experience of change management as the former chief executive officer of three not-for-profit organisations. At the Professional Standards Authority he created and implemented an annual performance measurement programme for professional regulators, the Standards of Good Regulation, delivered a new statutory and financial framework and built an international reputation for its policy research.
His understanding of governance in practice has been shaped by extensive board experience, including 14 years as a trustee of Comic Relief, where he was also chair of the Grants Committee, overseeing during that time the distribution of over £900 million in aid. He is the senior independent director of the Press Regulation Panel and sits on its Audit and Finance Committee. He is Patron of Arts4Dementia.
Dr. Hall’s influence is global – participating in policy arenas such as the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration, the CAPAM International Innovation Awards and Biannual Conference, and the Global Road Safety Conference sponsored by the World Health Organization in Brazil. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria, she teaches in public administration and policy, political science and business. As a professor at the University of Alberta, Dr. Hall’s teaching focus is local government. She continues to conduct research on a breadth of public policy and administrative issues, presenting her work at conferences around the globe.
