We support regulatory organizations through rigorous, evidence-based governance research and policy development. We are adept in employing a range of methods, including regulatory and profession-specific environmental scans, jurisdictional comparisons, documentary and policy analysis, targeted literature reviews, as well as qualitative surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Our approach balances methodological rigour with practicality, ensuring research is credible while remaining fit-for-purpose. A core strength of The Regulator’s Practice is translating large datasets and complex concepts into digestible and actionable insights for tailored for the unique needs of each client.

We work collaboratively with clients to shape both the focus and delivery of research and policy projects, leading or partnering on initiatives such as governance framework and policy drafting, synthesized evidence reports, decision-support briefings or options papers, and facilitated sessions. The aim of this work is to ensure research outputs function as practical decision-support and governance tools, enabling boards and leadership teams to make confident, evidence-informed decisions in an evolving regulatory governance environment.
