Strong, stable governance is the foundation of effective regulation. Yet board members often step into their roles with varying levels of experience and understanding of their responsibilities. Regulatory Governance Foundations is a self-paced online course designed specifically for Canadian regulatory board members and the staff that support them. Through a blend of multi-media materials covering 8-12 hours of content, participants gain the essential knowledge and tools to start governing with confidence in the public interest.

To ensure the online learning connects back to each board’s own specific governance challenges, we have also incorporated a 3-hour facilitated debrief session. This real-time virtual engagement with our senior governance practitioners brings everyone together to reinforce the individual learning, answer burning questions, and apply the materials to each board’s specific context, making the learning both practical and contextual. The sessions can be tailored to each board’s needs – some prefer a single 3-hour session, while others opt for shorter check-ins throughout the journey.
